Position Overview
Our client is seeking a seasoned Controller to join their finance team and lead the accounting and financial operations
Reporting directly to the President, you will play a critical role in steering the financial strategy and ensuring the company's continued success
As part of the executive team, you will have the opportunity to shape the future of our client's organization while mentoring and coaching a talented finance team
The ideal candidate will possess strong technical accounting skills, leadership abilities, and a passion for driving results in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
- Oversee all aspects of accounting and finance, including month-end close, budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
- Collaborate with the President to make informed financial decisions and drive company growth.
- Mentor and coach finance team members, providing guidance on best practices and fostering professional development.
- Ensure accuracy and timeliness of financial reporting, identifying and addressing any discrepancies or inefficiencies.
- Proactively identify opportunities for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
- Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams and serve as a strategic business partner to department heads.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and changes in accounting regulations, ensuring compliance and mitigating risk.

Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferred.
- 5-7 years of progressive experience in accounting and finance leadership roles.
- Strong technical accounting skills with experience in month-end close, budgeting, and financial analysis.
- Proficiency in ERP systems; experience with Epicore preferred.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Proactive mindset with a demonstrated ability to drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Highly detail-oriented with a commitment to accuracy and timeliness.
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities.
