Job Details

Job Responsibilities:

• Supervise and direct Accounting Department functions including General Accounting and AP and AR.
• Manage all aspects of the general ledger.
• Own the month-end and year-end close processes.
• Provide monthly, quarterly, and year-end financial analyses.
• Deliver monthly financial statements and analysis
• Recommend and manage financial controls and improvements.
• Identify and elaborate on key movements in margins
• Serve as a liaison to external auditors and various external professional service firms
• Analyze and report cost variances.
• Calculate and analyze COGS
• Manage fixed assets
• Supervise payroll processing
• Manage factor invoicing and schedules

Qualifications and Requirements

• Working experience in a financial/accounting leadership role with a manufacturing company
• Food experience a plus.
• Experience with cost accounting
• BA/BS Degree in accounting, finance, or business
• Solid technical skills related to accounting and financial reporting
• Proficiency with QuickBooks Enterprise Online
• Ability to participate in executive/strategic decisions but also be extremely hands-on
• Proven track record of excellent interpersonal/management skills
• Good organizational skills and ability to meet required deadlines
• Excellent work ethic
