Contract Duration: 4 Months

Required Skills & Experience
  • 5+ years of Risk Management or Business Controls experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, or education.
  • Effective communicator, both orally and in writing, able to ask well-crafted questions and present ideas in a clear and compelling manner, good listener who engenders creative thinking and teamwork.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Experience in Microsoft office suite.
  • Analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results.
  • Knowledge of the operational risk framework and disciplines primarily in the banking industry and its related operations.
  • General knowledge of industry standards and best practices around risk management and control identification and evaluation processes.
  • 4+ years of Risk Management or financial services industry experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work or consulting experience, training, military experience, education.

What You Will Be Doing
  • Lead pre-workshop and readiness activities and ensures all required Artifacts are completed.
  • Assist as backup for other facilitation support roles in scribing, dispositioning action items, issues and decision log, drafting control sharing agreements, control design rationales and completing compliance requirement attribute applicability.
  • Coordinate with other facilitation support roles in ensuring completion of data entry into Workshop tool (SNOW), clearing discrepancies in SNOW.
  • Review expected Risks and Controls, participates in risk assessment discussions, control evaluations, and process assessment sessions.
  • Assist as backup for Facilitation support lead with pre-planning activities, manage timelines, manage team logistics, manage artifacts completion, capture lessons learned and send out communications.
  • Coordinate with the RCSA team and business control management and line of business resources during workshop execution and addressing Review & Challenge Board feedback.
  • Consult on or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within Control Management and contribute to large-scale planning related to Control Management deliverables.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex Control Management challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
  • Contribute to the resolution of moderately complex issues and consult with others to meet Control Management deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements.
  • Collaborate with client personnel in Control Management.
