Contracts Manager We are seeking an experienced Contracts Manager to oversee SIXGEN's contract management and administration activities. In this role, you will be responsible for managing contract lifecycles, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements, and optimizing contract performance to achieve company objectives. As the first person in this position, you will be expected to review and update current processes, and in some cases build new procedures. You'll be expected to collaborate and work with all levels of leadership and across teams throughout the contracting process. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in federal contracting regulations, compliance requirements and negotiation strategies. This position resides in our Legal department and reports to our General Counsel. This position is remote work eligible, though candidates must be in Maryland, DC, or Northern Virginia area with the ability to travel to the office as needed for meetings and collaboration. SIXGEN supports cyber intelligence missions by serving government and commercial organizations as they overcome global cybersecurity challenges. Our highly skilled operators conduct research and assessments based on real-world threats. We simulate adversaries and malicious actors to report details and actionable findings on critical assets and infrastructures. Our program planners advise mission owners to bring rapid solutions to intelligence mission leaders. Using innovative processes, tools, and techniques, we predict and overcome cybersecurity vulnerabilities. Our successes are supported by our diverse team of experienced, technical talent. Core Responsibilities:
Assist in the negotiation, review and execution of federal contracts, requests for proposals, requests for quotes, non-disclosure agreements, teaming agreements, task orders, modifications, and subcontracts in collaboration with relevant stakeholders and in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and organizational policies. Develop and implement contract management processes, procedures and tools to streamline contract lifecycles, improve contract performance and mitigate risks
Ensure compliance with federal contract regulations, including Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS), and agency-specific requirements (department of Defense, Etc.) Support the development and maintenance of contract files, including contract documents, correspondence, amendments, and modifications in compliance with record keeping requirements Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including program managers, finance, legal and business development, pricing strategies and contract negotiations Monitor contract performance, including deliverables, milestones and financial performance, and implement corrective actions as necessary to address issues and optimize contract outcomes
Review and advise on contract modifications, claims, and disputes with federal government agencies and prime contractors, including preparation of change orders, claims analysis and negotiation strategies
Coordinate and support contract audits, reviews and compliance assessments by government agencies, auditors and internal stakeholders
Stay informed about industry trends, regulatory changes, and emerging best practices in federal contracting, and assess their potential impact on organizational strategies and operations Required Skills and Experience:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Contract Management, Legal Studies or related field; Advanced Degree (JD, MBA) preferred
Minimum of 7 years of progressive experience in federal contract management, with a focus on contract administration, negotiation and compliance
Extensive knowledge of federal contracting regulations, including FAR, DFARS, and agency-specific regulations with experience working with federal government agencies such as DoD, DHS, or others
Demonstrated experience leading contract negotiations, including pricing, terms and conditions, and subcontractor agreements
Demonstrated experience with the following relationships: Prime to Federal Government, Prime to Subcontractor, and Subcontractor to Prime
Strong understanding of contract types, including fixed-price, cost reimbursement, time and materials and IDIQ contracts
Excellent communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact effectively with internal and external stakeholders at all levels
Detail oriented mindset with a focus on accuracy, compliance, and risk management in contract management and administration
Proficiency in contract management software tools and Microsoft Office Suite
Classified contracting experience preferred Experience with contract novation preferred Commercial products and services contracting preferred Additional Details:
Job Location: Remote (Maryland, DC, Northern VA preferred)
Clearance Requirement: Ability to obtain TS/SCI Travel: Yes. Travel to the office will be required for meetings and collaboration. Estimated 10% or less Compensation and Benefits:
