Job Details

Responsibilities

As a Construction Safety Manager, your primary duties will include:

1. Developing, implementing, and managing safety programs, policies, and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for all employees, contractors, and visitors.

2. Conduct regular safety audits, inspections, and risk assessments on-site to identify potential hazards and ensure compliance with safety regulations.

3. Providing regular safety training and education for all staff members to promote awareness and understanding of safety protocols and procedures.

4. Investigate all workplace accidents and incidents to determine their causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.

5. Maintaining accurate records of all safety-related activities, including inspections, training sessions, accidents, and incident reports.

6. Liaising with regulatory bodies, ensuring all necessary safety licenses and permits are obtained and maintained.

7. Collaborating with project teams to integrate safety measures into project planning and execution.

8. Promoting a positive safety culture within the organization through effective communication and leadership.

Qualifications

To be considered for this exciting opportunity, candidates must possess:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience working in a safety management role within the construction industry.

2. Proven experience in accident investigation and risk management.

3. Strong knowledge of construction safety best practices, regulations, and industry standards.

4. Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite to manage records, create reports and deliver presentations.

5. Certified Safety Professional (CSP) or equivalent certification is preferred.

6. Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.

7. Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail, with a focus on continuous improvement in safety performance.

8. The ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.

9. A Bachelor's degree in safety management, engineering, or a related field is preferred.
