Salary: $100,000 - 130,000/yearThis position requires candidates to obtain a clearance in the future. This position works on site at Fort Belvoir, VA. Responsibilities- Work in conjunction with the Client, field staff and subcontractors to ensure safety, quality and timeliness of project construction and completion.
- Ensure that all activities are conducted in accordance with all applicable OSHA
- Have the full responsibility for the execution of the Construction Quality Control Plan during the construction phase of the project
- Monitor performance standards and coordinate all required testing with the Owner's Representative
- Prepare all required Production and QC reports on a daily basis and will provide copies of the reports to the Owner's Representative and to the Project Manager.
- Ensure the project is built within contract document specifications, Owner's requirements, and comply with local, state and federal building codes.
- Work closely with the Project Manager to develop a schedule for submittals, and to review all submittals for accuracy and completeness, prior to forwarding them to the Design Team and Government for final approval.
- Work as a member of the Project Team, including subcontractors, to ensure implementation and continuous monitoring of the provisions of the Project Accident Prevention Plan (APP) and Activity Hazard Analyses (AHAs).
- Serve as "Competent and/or Qualified Person" for activities including, but not necessarily limited to; Fall Protection, Confined Space Entry, Scaffolds/Work Platforms, Lead Hazards, Hot Work, and Excavation.
- Maintain a safe construction site through direction and training of workers, providing PPE and safety equipment and written documentation to maintain accountability of sub-contractor work force.
- Provide full-time support in the field, on the construction projects, to assure operations are planned and conducted in a safe manner.
- Interface with Government Safety & Health Officer on site safety & health issues and coordinate preventative measures.
- Complete Field Safety & Health Report forms and submit as required to Government.
Requirements- 10+ years' combined experience as a QCM, Project Manager, Project Engineer and/or Construction Manager on Federal Projects.
- 5+ years' experience as a Construction/Quality Control Manager on Government projects
- Five (5) years' experience as a Safety Officer on construction projects.
- Clearable
- Prior experience in Quality Control with the following scope preferred: Civil, Mechanical, Electrical, Structural, and Architectural.
- Prior experience working as the CQC Manager on Federal projects, or prior work for the Federal Government in their Quality Control program is required.
- Willingness to work on-site at Ft. Belvoir
