The Role

In this position you will organize and oversee construction procedures to guarantee they are completed in a safe, timely and efficient manner. You will manage all aspects of the project's execution.

Key Responsibilities:

• Understand project contracts, drawings, specifications and scope of work.
• Develop and maintain project schedules using industry-standard software.
• Negotiate contracts with vendors and subcontractors.
• Secure required permits from relevant agencies.
• Coordinate pre-construction activities with estimating, safety and project teams.
• Manage resources (manpower, equipment, materials) throughout the project lifecycle.
• Oversee project finances, including invoice review and budget forecasting.
• Plan construction operations and schedule phases to meet deadlines.
• Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress.
• Ensure compliance with FDC's health and safety standards.
• Manage project documents, including submittals, RFIs, addendums and contracts.
• Handle estimating and change orders related to projects.
• Participate in internal planning and coordination meetings.
• Build strong client relationships.
• Manage subcontractors to ensure project profitability and schedule adherence.
• Support and contribute to new project estimating.
• Possess a strong understanding of water and wastewater construction, with the ability to manage complex municipal projects.

The Person

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Construction Management (or equivalent experience).
• 3-8 years' experience in construction, ideally as a Project Manager.
• Excellent communication skills at all levels (management, field staff, clients).
• In-depth knowledge of construction procedures, governmental reporting and project management principles.
• Strong understanding of water and wastewater construction practices.
• Ability to manage long-term municipal projects of varying sizes and complexities.
