We are seeking a seasoned Construction Project Manager to join our dynamic Engineering team. This is a permanent role that provides an excellent opportunity to apply your expertise in managing large-scale heavy highway and railroad construction projects. You will be responsible for driving the successful delivery of projects, from initial conception and estimating, through to completion and handover. This role offers a unique chance to work on a variety of exciting projects that will challenge your skills and fuel your passion for the industry.

Responsibilities

As a Construction Project Manager, you will be involved in all aspects of the project life cycle. Your responsibilities will include:

1. Managing and overseeing all aspects of construction projects from design to implementation.
2. Developing project scopes and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility.
3. Performing cost tracking and control, as well as managing subcontracts.
4. Handling budgeting and forecasting to ensure projects are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner.
5. Preparing comprehensive project documentation, plans, and reports.
6. Ensuring that all projects are delivered on-time, within scope, and within budget.
7. Coordinating internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects.
8. Using project management tools to monitor working hours, budget, plans, and money spend.
9. Performing risk management to minimize project risks.
10. Establishing and maintaining relationships with third parties/vendors.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience in a construction project management position, specifically within the heavy highway and railroad construction sectors.
2. A strong background in construction management, project management, strategic planning, budgeting, engineering design, cost control, and project planning.
3. Proven experience in managing budgets, forecasting, and estimating jobs.
4. Excellent client-facing and internal communication skills.
5. Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
6. Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office and project management tools.
