Position Title: Commercial Construction Project Manager

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Project Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and overseeing all aspects of commercial construction projects from inception to completion. The Project Manager will work closely with architects, engineers, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

Project Planning: Develop comprehensive project plans outlining project scope, goals, schedule, budget, and resources required.

Budget Management: Prepare and manage project budgets, track expenses, and implement cost-saving measures where possible.

Schedule Management: Develop and maintain project schedules, coordinate activities, and ensure timely completion of all project milestones.

Contract Management: Negotiate contracts with subcontractors, vendors, and suppliers. Review and approve contract terms and conditions.

Quality Control: Implement quality control procedures to ensure construction work meets project specifications and industry standards.

Risk Management: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize project delays and cost overruns.

Communication: Maintain regular communication with project stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, contractors, and internal team members.

Team Leadership: Provide leadership and direction to project teams, including contractors, subcontractors, and onsite personnel.

Permitting and Compliance: Ensure all necessary permits and licenses are obtained, and construction activities comply with regulatory requirements and building codes.

Problem Solving: Address any issues or challenges that arise during construction, and implement effective solutions to keep the project on track.

Documentation: Maintain accurate project documentation, including drawings, specifications, contracts, change orders, and correspondence.

Client Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with clients by providing excellent customer service and addressing their needs and concerns throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or related field (Master's degree preferred).

Minimum of 5 years of experience in commercial construction project management.

Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and building codes.

Proven track record of successfully managing multiple construction projects simultaneously.

Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Proficiency in project management software (e.g., Primavera, Procore, Microsoft Project).

Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.

PMP or similar project management certification is a plus.

Familiarity with LEED and sustainable construction practices is desirable.
