Exp Federal delivers program management, technical services, design/build, and mission support services throughout the world The Challenge: This position will be on-sight in Ouagadougou, Burkina Faso. We are seeking a talented Construction Manager to add to our Design/Build team. exp Federal's construction managers plan, coordinate, budget, schedule, and supervise construction projects from development to completion. Will work closely with other building specialists, such as architects, civil/electrical/mechanical engineers, and fire protection engineers. Principle Areas of Responsibility: Must be able to review and implement drawings and specifications. Must be able to develop and implement QC plans, safety plans, and schedules. Demonstrated experience and competency applying the principles of UFGS .00 (Quality Control) and EM 385-1-1. Must be able to provide input to finalize the project plan as well as make adjustments along the way for unforeseen events. Must be able to maintain a tracking log of deficiencies during construction, develop a final punch list upon completion of work and oversee completion of the punch list. Must be able to lead preparatory, initial, and final meetings to set QC standards before work is performed. Must be able to lead weekly safety briefings and ensure all work is performed in accordance with the AHAs contained in the safety plan. Must be able to complete daily reports on work progress as well as conduct weekly (minimum) teleconferences with the Project Manager to update status on quality, safety, and the schedule. Responsible for developing dig permits, outages plans, etc. as needed to schedule the work with the end users. Oversee all onsite and offsite work to monitor compliance with building and safety regulations. Coordinate and direct construction workers and subcontractors. Basic Qualifications: Minimum 10 years construction experience with relevant degree Understands all facets of the construction process Ability to plan and see the overall construction project - "the big picture" Preferred QCS Trained, OSHA 30 Hour trained, Trade License (Electrician, Plumber, etc.) Ability to obtain and maintain a Top Secret Security Clearance. Desired Skills: Project Management Professional certification Proven work experience in US Government construction management Leadership and human resources management skills Advanced knowledge of construction management processes, means, and methods Expert knowledge of building products, construction details, and relevant rules, regulations, and quality standards.
