Construction Manager / Owners Representative

Job Description:

We are seeking an experienced Construction Manager/owners Rep to assist our project management team in monitoring construction activities as an Owner's Representative in our team. For a large Multimillion dollar winery renovation. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction management, with a proven track record of successfully completing projects on time and within budget, and experience in representing the owner's interests throughout the project.

Responsibilities:

Oversee day to day construction activities.

Attend daily and weekly job walks

Respond to RFI and Submittal Requests, and review of shop drawings

Supervise onsite personnel and subcontractors.

Interface with onsite staff, construction team, and leadership.

Oversight of build quality so it adheres to original plans and specifications.

Act as the primary point of contact for the owner, effectively representing the owner's interests in all project matters.

Coordinate and manage project changes, ensuring that they are properly documented and approved by the right people

Monitor project progress, costs, and quality, and report regularly to the owner.

Ensure that the project is completed in accordance with the owner's requirements and objectives.

Support Project Manager(s) as needed

Qualifications:

Previous experience in construction management or other related fields.

Experience in an owner's representative role is highly desirable.

Familiarity with construction management software.

Strong leadership qualities.

Strong negotiation skills.

Excellent communication and reporting skills.

Deadline and detail-oriented.

Physical Requirements/Work Environment:

Work Environment:

Works outdoors/indoors

Works in warm/cold climates

Works in high places

Works on wet surfaces

Is exposed to loud noise, fumes and/or toxic chemicals

Works near moving, mechanical parts and lift truck traffic

Must be able to move up to 55 lbs

Primary Construction environment may be warehouse/distribution setting

Weekend work as needed to support construction schedule
