About being our Construction Manager As our Construction Manager, you will be part of Psomas' Construction Management Group, while supporting specific assignments for the Bay Area Regional Team in Sunnyvale, California. Our team is managing multiple projects for the Sunnyvale Cleanwater Program that have an estimated construction value exceeding $300 million and consists of a series of projects to renovate the water pollution control plant through 2028, plus opportunity for future backlog. This is a full-time role on a high-profile program and includes civil, mechanical, electrical and structural elements. Candidates must be able to make the daily commute. Responsibility Highlights for our Construction Manager Serve as primary owner representative overseeing, performing, and coordinating daily construction management activities to monitor that the project is constructed in accordance with approved plans, specifications, budget and schedule Lead resolution of day-to-day construction issues Interact with clients, designers, owners, contractors, inspectors, and regulatory agencies including leading meetings and generating correspondence Direct and supervise field construction activities and contract administration including staff and specialty subconsultants Administer contraction contracts including review of contractor's schedules, responding to claims received from the contractor, documenting progress of project, and answering requests for information, submittals, and change orders Enable project success while facilitating the resolution of all project issues in a fair and firm manner Minimum Qualifications to be our Construction Manager Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related discipline Active California Professional Engineering (PE) License or active accreditation as a Certified Construction Manager (CCM) through Construction Management Association of America (CMAA) 10 years of relevant work experience including managing the construction or being involved with the engineering design of wastewater treatment facilities, public works infrastructure, and heavy civil projects Knowledge of the construction process and the ability to read, understand, and interpret construction plans, drawings, and specifications Excellent verbal, written, and digital communication skills including fluency with Microsoft programs and construction management software Ability to work independently and in a team environment and manage deadlines Ability to work on an active construction site, including walking over uneven terrain, climbing ladders, crawling, stooping and entering confined spaces, being outdoors in inclement weather, wearing proper safety equipment, and practicing industry safety protocols Highlighted Benefits for our Construction Manager Enjoy an inclusive benefit package providing medical, dental, and vision coverage for employee and qualifying family members, a 401(k) with immediate vested company match and an Employee Stock Ownership Plan that is 100% paid by Psomas.
