Job Description

AECOM is seeking a Construction Manager - Federal experience to build a bench of part time variable Construction Managers that can be assigned to projects throughout the US. The remote location can be anywhere in the continental United States and it will require travel.

Perform construction inspections throughout the United States, US Territories, and other locations in support of US Federal Agencies.

Monitor and document conformance with quality, performance, safety and code requirements. Activities may include assisting with engineering calculations, setting up and operating equipment, inspecting equipment and engineering installations for

compliance with specifications and maintaining project documentation.

Review and assess cost estimates.

Provide construction management support such as bid solicitation and reviewing submittals, RFIs, and change orders.

Participate in formal quality audits.

Review quality related submittals for conformance with the plans and specifications. Recommend issuance of non-conformance reports as needed.

Provide technical guidance regarding QC inspection and testing to field staff.

Work with field staff to verify non-conforming work is resolved in accordance with approved procedures.

Review acceptance requests for conformance with specified criteria.

Complete other related tasks as assigned.

AECOM intends to hire a "bench" of PTV Construction Managers who are willing to travel and would be available to provide construction management services on various projects for federal clients both within and outside of the US.

The project assignments could range anywhere from 1 to 6 years. There's a small percentage that last longer than 6 years. Our intent is to hire enough PTV Construction Manager candidates to make it easier to plan for staff rotations and backfills to allow time off.
