Job Summary
The Manger - Construction Management Sales position is an integral link between Irby Business Development and the Irby Deployment Team. This position is the subject matter expert to explain Irby project construction management methods and procedures to potential Irby Turnkey customers. Additionally, this position is a key contributor for new OSP Construction material research and selection as well as a member of the inventory team that is responsible for quantity forecasting.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities
  • Travel and assist at Irby sponsored or attended trade shows to assist and advise on potential future use material products.
  • Assist Sales team / VP level with customer introduction meetings.
    • Participate in both virtual and in person meetings to collect construction labor cost information for feasibility studies, explain/work through any potential complications with construction (i.e. extensive make ready, higher quantities of underground, potential rock costs, etc.
    • Assist Director of OSP Operations with regional cost of construction estimates through market research.
  • Seek out and research any potential contractors for Irby Turnkey Projects to include financial stability, previous quality and satisfaction of work, and ability to scale to meet deadlines for future projects.
  • Directly responsible for implementation of new construction technology or material implementations (Ex. Micro duct, TRAXyL, AFL Apex splice enclosures, etc.) in partnership with Regional Construction Manager
    • Responsible for explanation of product operation or process benefits for Irby customers in order to generate sales within Irby's existing turnkey customer base.
    • Responsible for coordination with warehouse operations team to establish quantities needed and shipments of first deliveries.
  • Assist Regional Construction Manager as needed for construction management tasks to include but not limited to: ride outs, closeout process, consultation in abnormal issues.
  • Additional duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications
  • Attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Position requires excellent mathematical skills.
  • Knowledge of public safety, security issues and regulations.
  • Superior organizational skills; ability to handle several projects concurrently.
  • Ability to review and understand construction drawings and specifications.
  • Ability to manage through conflict, complexity and to problem solve issues.
  • Operational proficiency in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Power Point and Microsoft Project.
  • Advanced capabilities within Microsoft Excel including the ability to utilize pivot tables, macros, and graph/chart creation.
  • Ability to work independently and self-directed; takes initiative in seeking efficiencies of processes.
  • Excellent communication skills in presentation, conversation and written correspondence to management, project team, subcontractors, and customers.
  • Must be able to work in a variety of physical positions, including sitting, standing, walking, and driving.
  • Must be able to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move equipment and objects up to 100 pounds.

Preferred Qualifications
  • Approximately 8 years of experience in construction/telecommunication industry, the last 3 of which were at a level that required extensive project management work
  • At least a year of experience working in a digital construction platform for telecommunications project deployments.
