Insight Global is looking for a Construction Manager to oversee the construction and commissioning phase of a new power utility in Whitmore, California. This person needs to have a background working for GIS construction projects and will be responsible for ensuring construction subcontractors are executing the work and communicating with the project team and project stakeholders on all reporting, timeline, quality, and conducting construction meetings. 70% of the Construction Manager's job will be overseeing and directing construction projects, overseeing construction scopes to verify compliance with drawings, safety, and quality, verify revisions of any existing drawings, and coordinating with project engineers, subcontractors, and stakeholders on all scope of work. The CM will spend 5% of their job performing project setup and reviewing drawings/scope, and ordering necessary supplies and equipment. 5% of this role will be site setup including setting up office trailers, laydown areas, and electrical hookups. Developing EAP and Storm Water Pollution Prevention plans, and submitting/obtaining necessary permits and work plans. The construction manager will spend 20% of the job performing material and equipment receiving and tracking, verifying materials for the scope on site, reviewing QA?QC plans prior to execution, preparing internal and external reports on job status, safety, and quality, and providing quality reports during and after installation of an activity.

Required Skills & Experience

4+ years of construction management experience in power utilities

3+ years of experience in GIS (gas insulated substation) assembly or management and Cal OSHA experience

Ability to communicate with internal and external stakeholders

Active & valid drivers license

Comfortable operating personal vehicle

Highschool /GED Diploma

Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, Sharepoint, Bluebeam Revu/Adobe Acrobat, and Deltek Vantagepoint/other accounting softwares

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Bachelor's or Associates Degree in construction management or engineering

CUSP (comprehensive unit based safety program) certified
