Construction Manager Ashland, VA Description: Actalent is looking for a construction manager to join on with one of our clients. They will be responsible for overseeing the design and construction of gas station projects in Virginia and NC. They will be based out of Richmond and provide insight and project management to the construction projects. They will oversee the general contractors, architects and engineers for each project. They will be responsible for site permitting and development. The 4 projects will run 2 years and they will continue to develop on land in Maryland Breakdown Scheduling responsibilities Onsite inspection of jobs Permitting Skills: Civil, Construction, Estimation, permit application, project management, Construction management, construction inspection, construction safety, subcontractor management Additional Skills & Qualifications: BA/BS in construction management or Civil Engineering 3 plus years in related industry Experience with software estimating programs is also beneficial Pre and post construction award Working with vendors, subs, collecting scopes of work Reviewing submittals Degree is a nice to have but not a must have Best candidate has Civil and GC experience Open to someone from a Civil background (understanding of Surveying and ground conditions) who is looking to get into Project Management About Actalent Actalent is a global leader in engineering and sciences services and talent solutions.
