Position Summary: The Product Applications Specialist, Exteriors provides product application information and direct support to the end user community (distributors, dealers, contractors, builders, property owners, etc.) in the form of installation techniques, applicable building and industry codes, customer training, and claims/warranty investigation and resolution. Conducts appropriate field testing with Product Engineering to meet test plan requirements. Provides information to Product Managers in support of new/existing product development/enhancement. Assists in the creation and review of marketing materials including technical content, install methods, end use/application visuals and warranty/claim standards. Your primary duties and responsibilities will be: Vast knowledge and experience of the exterior envelope and all products including siding, trim, windows, doors, and flashing. Understanding of all exterior envelope products and their interaction and effects both individually and collectively with the building structures. Full understanding of proper building practices for residential and commercial construction in total, but especially for exterior building products and the exterior building/structures envelope. Conducts job site visits and works closely with dealers, contractors, AZEK sales/customer service to prevent and/or solve product related concerns or issues. Provides technical customer service, troubleshooting and general phone support for internal and external customers to resolve customer issues. Creates, develops, and conducts application and installation and general product training to meet needs of the end user community and internal customers. Attends trade shows to provide appropriate training to constituents attending. Provides direct support on customer sales calls as necessary. Utilizes knowledge of applicable building codes to provide guidance to Product Managers on requirements of product. Conducts and/or organizes appropriate field testing to validate new and existing products regarding workability, weatherability, competitiveness, ease of installation, heat and chemical resistance, and helps reduce future potential risks for the company. Knowledgeable on competitive products and works to develop and implement competitive testing of products. Test/evaluate compliance of non-company products regarding appropriateness of use, workability, quality, and warranty requirements. Assists in the development and support of an effective claims management process. Performs other assignments as needed. We believe the successful candidate will have: Education: Associate's degree (two-year college or technical school) required; bachelor's degree preferred. 10-plus years of siding, trim, and exteriors envelope product, installation, and testing experience. Extensive knowledge of the application and use of various construction tools, measuring devices, test equipment. Proven project management skills. Computer Skills: Applied skill in use of Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word). Use of computer to enter data, create reports, correspondence, etc. Certifications & Licenses: Valid Driver's License Core Competencies: Accountability Accuracy Analytical Skills Communication Skills Conceptual Thinking Detail-Oriented Safety Awareness Customer-Oriented Integrity Problem Solving Time Management Success Measures: Ninety (90) days: XXX XX X Six (6) Months: XXX XX X One (1) year: XXX XX X Compensation for roles at AZEK varies depending on a wide range of factors including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set and level of experience.
