Job Summary The Critical Power Field Project Supervisor is responsible for the overall management and execution of projects on behalf of the customer throughout the project life cycle and is the principal point of contact for the customer with respect to the project. The PM is charged with supporting the sales, operations, and service teams during the entire project to ensure a seamless transition from quotation through commissioning and acceptance by the customer. The PM will have the discipline to create clear and achievable cost, quality, and schedule objectives and follow these objectives through to successful completion. The PM will also provide technical leadership to the sales & service teams. The PM must be capable of self-managing and directing a team on awarded projects for facility improvements, including working knowledge of critical power UPS, generators, HVAC systems, fire suppression, and switchgear batteries and power electronics (including DC plants, rectification, UPS, charger, etc.) and the associated component selection, system design & installation. Key Job Responsibilities: Review and assess project drawings and supplemental documentation to determine the project's scope. Consult with engineering and project management teams to ensure that the project design is accurate before the work and bid process commences. Must be technically astute and capable of deep dive conversations around facilities, power systems, environmental systems, fire suppression, and other telecommunication facility topics. Schedule and Visit Project Sites and Pre-Bid/Bid Openings. Act as the main point of communication between the field and the office. Review Equipment Mobilization - subcontractor budgeting & bid with customer Project Manager. Review Scope of Work and scheduling with PM Team. Communicate with customers, project managers and general contractors regarding the Project's scope. Provide answers to any concerns and build relationships that will endure beyond the current job. Identify, request, and follow up on required information from customers, engineers, and subcontractors. Daily coordination with Field Supervision and perform Daily Report uploads. Supporting material deliveries and subcontractor mobilizations. Required to be on-site in support of Project and act as escort and GC for Project duration. (Long projects will be scheduled and assigned accordingly with other team members as needed). Review initial change order requests and review/negotiate change orders with PM Team and Customers. Work with accounting on job cost estimates and financials. Complete and drive project close-out documents, and submission to customers. Develop and maintain customer relationships. Develop and maintain subcontractor and supplier relationships and capabilities. Must have working knowledge/experience with Procore or other PM tools along with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, and others) Other work as assigned by leadership. Key Performance Measurements: Project revenue, expense, and gross profit vs budget Schedule attainment vs forecast/plan Safety Ratings (TRIR, etc.) BOM and SOW Accuracy Requirements Graduate of a four-year bachelor's degree program in Engineering, Construction Management or related field required. Minimum of 5-7 years of project management experience, with mechanical and electrical experience (supporting role). PMP preferred. Experience must be in Commercial Construction for larger facilities (high-rise building, hospitals, Telco, etc.). Proven experience in supervising field operation vendors and teams. Working knowledge of IEEE, NERC/FERC, NESC, NEC, ANSI, NETA. Demonstrated success managing project finances, with 5+ years of experience. Strong professional communication, problem solving, and analytical skills. Ability to prioritize work to accommodate concurrent projects and finite deadlines. Ability to organize his/her own work and work independently with limited supervision. Ability to work with individuals from diverse backgrounds and with diverse needs and across remote offices. Ability to clearly articulate ideas (both written and verbal) to both internal and external customers and to listen effectively to customer needs. Ability to develop and maintain strong workplace relationships with an emphasis on customer satisfaction. Ability to work collaboratively with other departments toward the greater good of the organization. Ability to adapt to a fast-changing environment. Experience with ERP process flow. Ability to set reasonable and consistently attainable goals. Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, architectural electrical and mechanical drawings, and equipment specifications. Highly independent with an organized strong work ethic and team mentality. Must be able to pass a background check and obtain a TWIC card.
