Summary:
The main function of a supervisor/manager production is to supervise and coordinate the activities of production and operating workers.
Job Responsibilities:
" Coach and mentor, all staff, contractors and workers on best practices, lessons learned, safety policies, OSHA, OKRs, KPI's.
" Implement measures to motivate employees and to improve production methods, equipment performance, product quality, or efficiency.
" Review operations and confer with technical or administrative staff to resolve production or processing problems.
" Develop and implement production tracking and quality control systems, analyzing production, quality control, and maintenance to detect production problems.
" Hire, train, evaluate, and discharge staff, and resolve personal grievances.
" Set and monitor product standards to ensure quality finished products.
" Prepare and maintain production reports and personnel records.
Skills:
" Verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and problem-solving skills.
" Ability to work independently and manage one s time.
" Knowledge of raw materials, production processes, quality control and other techniques for maximizing the effective manufacture and distribution of goods.
" Knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair and maintenance.
" Knowledge of design techniques, tools and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings and models.
Education/Experience:
" High school diploma or GED required. Associate's degree in business or related field preferred.
" 10+ years' experience required.
Degrees or certifications required Would like to see CHST, OSHA 40, Osha 500, & Osha 510 certification. Bachelor s degree in Occupational Health & Safety. A thorough understanding of OSHA standards & regulations is essential. This includes knowledge of general industry standards (29 CFR 1910) or construction standards (29 CFR 1926).
Best vs. average Have experience as a Construction Safety manager for Amazon, Google, Microsoft, Salesforce, Equinox, Turner Construction, or other fortune 100 companies. That would be ideal, and the sponsor would love to see candidates with those work history backgrounds. Also would like to see candidates with the certifications see CHST, OSHA 40, Osha 500, & Osha 510.
