Construction Laborer

Position Summary: The Construction Laborer is responsible for performing routine cleaning tasks and maintenance, such as removing debris, sweeping houses, and ensuring proper organization of materials. This position contributes to creating a clean and safe working environment for construction teams and ensures homesites are presentable to homebuyers and visitors. Responsibilities: Regularly visit active home construction sites to perform general site cleanup, ensuring a safe and clean environment. Conduct walkthroughs of each active homesite to remove trash and maintain cleanliness. Sweep houses and pick up and dispose of trash to maintain cleanliness. Stack lumber when required to maintain construction site organization and safety. Trim weeds as necessary during the summer months. Shovel snow as necessary during the winter months. Perform additional tasks as required or assigned by onsite Superintendents. Qualifications: High School Diploma or general education degree (GED). No prior experience is required; however, any relevant experience or coursework in construction or related fields is beneficial. Basic understanding of construction safety, tools, and equipment. Strong communication skills and eagerness to learn from experienced team members. Ability to work independently, adapt to a fast-paced work environment and willingness to take direction from supervisors. Physical Requirements: This position involves both office and field responsibilities. Must be able to operate a motor vehicle, climb stairs/ladders, walk on active jobsites, read plans, bend, stoop, reach, lift, and carry items weighing more than 25 pounds. Safety Requirements: This position is a safety sensitive position and includes tasks or duties that could affect the safety and health of the employee performing the task and others. This position requires safety training provided by the company. Travel Requirements: Occasional travel may be required for this position.
