Construction Inspector

TalentBridge is looking for a motivated and reliable Construction Inspector who would be responsible for managing key client projects with the goal of delivering quality and cost-effective services.

Responsibilities

• Project management of construction materials testing projects.

• Testing of soils, foundations, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete, masonry, fireproofing, and asphalt pavement.

• Review of field reports, laboratory testing reports, and technician services.

• Managing project process, budget, and technical issues.

• Client contact and attending meetings.

• Coordination of day-to-day testing services.

Requirements

• Minimum of a BS degree in engineering, construction management, or a related field experience required.

• Previous Geotechnical or CMT experience.

• EIT or P.E. (or seeking to obtain P.E. soon) would be a plus. Alternatively, other CMT certifications will be considered.

• Understanding of soil mechanics and specialty construction testing.

• Solid organizational skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills

• Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Office

• Ability to read and understand construction plans.

• Good driving record and valid driver's license.

• Must pass pre-employment, non-DOT drug screening.

• Clear and concise English communication skills both written and verbal.

On the Job

• Work is generally Mon-Fri between 7:00 am and 5:00 pm, with some Saturday and evening work.

Preferences

• Prior testing experience with residential and commercial construction

• ICC, NICET, KDOT, or ACI Certifications.

• Prior DOT testing experience.

• Nuclear density gauge safety trained

• Experience with technical and proposal writing

Pay and Benefits

• Pay is based on the level of prior experience and valid applicable certifications.
