We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Superintendent to join our dynamic construction team. This is an exciting opportunity to be involved in the full spectrum of our commercial construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our construction projects, from planning to completion, ensuring that they are completed in a timely and cost-effective manner. This role requires a deep understanding of construction management, design-build, commercial construction, scheduling, safety management, blueprint reading, and subcontractor management.

Job Details

Responsibilities:
  • Prepare detailed cost estimates for construction projects, including labor, materials, and equipment.
  • Evaluate project plans and specifications to determine the total cost of construction.
  • Use estimating software to calculate costs and prepare detailed cost plans.
  • Work closely with project managers, architects, and engineers to develop cost-effective strategies.
  • Analyze and compare bids from subcontractors and suppliers.
  • Prepare and submit budget proposals and cost reports to clients and management.
  • Monitor project costs and identify any potential risks or cost overruns.
  • Keep up-to-date with the latest construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Participate in project meetings and provide cost-related input and advice.

Qualifications:
  • A minimum of 2 years of experience as an Estimator or in a similar role.
  • Proficient in using estimating software and other relevant computer applications.
  • Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and regulations.
  • Experience in commercial construction, multi-family, mixed-use, and hospitality projects.
  • Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is a plus.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel as needed.
