OSP Construction Coordinator Hybrid in-office Nashville, TN What are we doing at Project Resources Group (PRG)? Project Resources Group has been a leader in construction management and plant damage recovery services since 2001. We are currently seeking an OSP Construction Coordinator to lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects. You plan requirements with internal customers and usher projects through the entire project life cycle. This includes coordinating project schedules, identifying risks and clearly communicating goals to project stakeholders. Your projects often span offices, time zones and hemispheres, and it's your job to keep all the players coordinated on the project's progress and deadlines. As an Outside Plant (OSP) Construction Coordinator (engineer), you will meet with and understand requirements from internal customers and help usher projects through the entire engineering life cycle. This includes field visits to confirm existing network assets, identify possible routing opportunities, work with utility stakeholders, coordinate project schedules, identify risks, and communicate goals to project stakeholders. You will be responsible for efficiently and knowledgeably assisting the Engineering Dept to produce high-quality, highly constructible engineering deliverables. Adaptability and the ability to thrive in ambiguity are critical to success in this role. What you'll do Assist our client with field visits to help confirm existing network assets, develop design optionality and work cross-functionally to help decide priorities. Investigate and/or verify existing plant and possible future plant pathways in the field to accelerate Fiber to the Home (FTTH) designs, including highly constructible job packages through final as-built completion. Help our client to achieve critical milestones. Develop and maintain a high-quality QC standard for the design process, including field verification, prompt troubleshooting and creative problem-solving for any identified equipment and/or design issues. Assist with the production of efficient designs for new development, network relocations, and network upgrades. Provide practical and comprehensive support for network deployment and other cross-functional teams. Communicate design issues with the engineers and assist them in finding resolutions. Enforce engineering quality and compliance with the outside plant design specifications. Accurately depict new construction route opportunities, with the ability to identify, research, and problem-solve cable path/placement issues and accurately relay solutions to the engineering team. QA/QC of the following OSP aspects, including identifying issues, researching possible solutions, making corrective proposals, and tracking updates to the project's end. Bill of Materials (BOM), Splice Sheets (SS), Fiber Construction Drawings, Permit Drawings, Single Line Drawings (SLD) Other duties as they arise Bachelor's degree in a technical field or equivalent practical experience. Five years of experience with FTTH infrastructure. Field experience constructing new outside and inside plant (OSP/ISP) fiber infrastructure. Preferred qualifications: Knowledge of Geographic Information Systems (GIS), 3-GIS, and AutoCAD drafting capabilities. Comprehensive knowledge of Fiber Optic network equipment, various OSP architectures, splice operations, configuration, and overall system design. Knowledge of BOM creation, including material research for different markets and OSP architectures. Knowledge of Splice Sheets creation and an ability to identify SS issues that originate in various design stages. Ability to create and review Fiber Construction Drawings for various architectures. Knowledge of ROW/easements for various municipalities and experience with local city utility permitting. Knowledge of SLD creation at the F1 and F2 level projects. Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills. Proficiency in Google G-Suite, including drive, docs, sheets, drawing, and presentation. Intermediate skills in Microsoft Office programs, including Excel. Intermediate working knowledge of Google Earth/Maps. Exemplary communication skills with excellent presentation skills. Ability to represent projects from business, product, and technical perspectives. Excellent time management.
