Basic Details:
Title: Construction Coordinator
Location: Liberty, NC
Remote/On-site/Hybrid: On-site from day 1
Local or non-local: Local candidates first priority
Working hours: Standard
Duration: 12 months with a possibility of extension

Overtime: Yes, may exceed 60h/wk during peak periods. Ability to work overtime during weekdays and weekends on as-need basis.

Where will they need to travel: Domestic and International
If International, to/from which countries: Japan
Will it be for meetings/observation: To go-and-see equipment prior to shipping for installation-related planning. While equipment is set up at machine makers for trials prior to breakdown and shipment to NC.
How soon after the offer will they be required to travel: First trip may be as early as June 2024.
IF travel would be scheduled more than 3 months dispatch would be available: No. Each trip duration may be up to 2 weeks

General Description:
Responsible for managing general contractors and subcontractors, scopes, budgets, and schedules related to installation of automotive lithium-ion battery manufacturing equipment. Administer equipment installation, construction contracts; conduct on-site inspection to monitor plan compliance. Direct activities of contractors and subcontractors to support project schedule in compliance with plans and specifications. Research, plan, and administer equipment installation projects, applying knowledge of design, construction procedures, and building materials. Present status reports to owner. Receive, review and coordinate contract changes into project delivery. Be intimately and completely knowledgeable of current and future activities in area(s) of responsibility and be able to implement countermeasures to support project schedule. Take proactive measures to ensure a safe job site. Monitor and promote compliance with Our Client safety rules and procedures at the job site; correct and report issues/incidents in a timely manner.
Detailed Description of Responsibilities:
Supervises heavy industrial equipment installation site on behalf of Our Client.
Coordinate communications between owner and installation general contractor.
Coordinates heavy equipment installation scheduling and communication with general contractor.
Manage GC s RFI (Requests for Information) and owner s CCR (Criteria Change Requests)
Manage intake and processing of field change orders.
Author equipment installation scope of work and bid packages, including compilation of necessary inputs from Production Engineering.
Develop budgetary estimates for scope of equipment installation bid packages.
May be responsible for developing schedules and ordering materials.
Coordinate weekend/shutdown work plans with contractors, facilities, NAMC shops, PC, and PE.
Have knowledge of heavy industrial equipment installation methods.
Have knowledge of connecting electrical, piping, mechanical and HVAC services to heavy industrial equipment.
Develop project status reports for management review.
Monitor equipment installation methods for confirmation that installation meets Our Client specifications and expectations.
Take proactive measures to ensure a safe job site.
Monitor and promote compliance with Our Client safety rules and procedures at the job site; correct and report issues/incidents in a timely manner.
Required Qualifications:
Level of experience 10-15 years.
10+ years of experience in industrial construction projects, with emphasis on heavy industrial equipment installation.
Strong technical knowledge of heavy industrial equipment installation means and methods.
Proficient drawing review and field application abilities.
OSHA 30 and 510 certifications.
Ability to stand, stoop, and walk throughout a large industrial manufacturing plant for many hours of the day.
Ability to ascend & descend stairs to roof or equipment rooms throughout a large industrial manufacturing plant.
Competent with Microsoft Office: Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook.
Strong organization and communication skills.
Additional Desired Qualifications:
Associates degree in construction management.
Software experience: Autodesk 2D and 3D CAD software, Bluebeam, Microsoft Project.
Experience installing automotive lithium-ion battery manufacturing equipment.
Experience with dehumidification, dust collection, fire suppression, and/or network systems.
