Construction and Highway Foreman

Employer pays 100% of premiums for family Health Insurance, Group Life, and Short-term Disability Insurance and 90% of Family Dental Insurance premiums. This position is responsible for the supervision and inspection of public works projects for compliance with approved plans and specifications, contract requirements, and any other relevant policies or standards. These operations can include but are not limited to, roadway and sidewalk construction, crack sealing, pavement marking, earthwork, guardrail installation, driveway installation and drainage repairs. This is a lead worker position responsible for providing direct and close supervision of a crew of laborers, equipment operators, and semi-skilled workers in the construction and maintenance of roads, bridges and other municipal projects as well as winter maintenance operations. Minimum Qualifications: Graduation from standard high school or GED, Associates Degree in Civil Technology preferred; plus at least four years of experience in highway construction and maintenance work, at least two years of which in a lead worker capacity; familiarity and experience with surveying equipment, computer hardware and software operations, and reading and interpretation of blueprints and building plans ; OR any equivalent education and experience that demonstrated the possession of the required knowledge, skills, and abilities.
