Individual is responsible for assuring that sanitary waste services provided by the County are properly planned, designed, installed and maintained in Delaware County. Individual reports to the Construction Manager.Bachelor's degree in a related field plus five (5) years' experience in construction of wastewater or water infrastructure required. Preference to be registered as a Professional Engineer with the State Board of Registration for Professional Engineer's and Surveyors but not required. Must have valid driver's license and an acceptable driving record. Must meet and maintain qualifications for driving on county business at all times. All licenses must be maintained as condition of employment. Manages capital construction projects from an administrative role; Inspects installation of infrastructure improvements or coordinates with inspectors to provide capital project coverage; Checks inspectors work on job sites and assists with problems; Updates Supervisor on project status; Reviews engineering plans and cut sheets for conformance and completeness; Conducts construction progress meetings; Performs project management during planning and design of capital projects as needed; Reviews and submits pay applications and invoices related to projects; Interacts with general public, developers, contractors, and consulting engineers to identify facility and infrastructure locations, improvements and accessibility; Drives vehicles to various locations as required; Supervises functional activities and supports personnel, as required; Commits to and provides assistance in assuring that goals of the Division are achieved on a daily and yearly basis in a timely and productive manner; Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance; Attends various training sessions, video conferences, and workshops; Performs typing, word processing, and related computer operations; Works outside of typical work schedule/business hours as required; and Other duties as assigned.
