Overview of the Construction Accountant role:
- Job cost accounting including budget controls, accounting for all project costs, change orders, job costs transfers and variance explanations
- Accounts Payable and vendor maintenance to include full cycle A/P processing, 1099s, insurance verification, lien waivers, etc
- Process subcontractor payment applications and project billings
- Manage draw requests and appropriate back up documentation
- Assist with revenue and profitability projections
- Ad hoc projects and tasks as assigned
Preferred Qualifications for the Construction Accountant:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field, will consider experience in lieu of degree
- 3+ years related experience
- Strong attention to detail
- Independent worker, able to problem solve and work with minimal supervision
