Job Number: R Configuration Manager
Key Role: Leverage expertise in the configuration management ( CM ) processes within planning, design, implementation, testing, and release phases of a developmental and operational systems life cycle for both hardware and sof tware. Identify configuration items ( CI ) and implement change control, configuration status accounting, and configuration audits. Participate in review boards and process change proposals and enforce change management requirements. Work on a team to create and maintain sof tware, hardware, and documentation configuration baselines, including development, test, and production. Modify CM plans and procedures tailored to the complexity and scope of the developmental or operational system. Implement CM discipline for the entire life cycle of systems from initial requirements and capabilities baselines to system end-of-life. Interact with engineering, development, test, cybersecurity, support, and help desk teams daily to capture change requests and maintain authorized baseline configurations for lifecycle support. Track all problems and changes in product documents and sof tware and report changes, and control standard operating procedures and configurations. Interface with vendors and other contractors to forecast changes to hardware and sof tware configurations, and facilitate distribution to development, engineering, and cybersecurity teams, as necessary. Use or recommend automated CM tools to support the implementation of CM policies and procedures. C ond uct quality assurance on all CM developed and deliverable products, manage and input information within CM and logistics tools, and generate consolidated reports reflecting hardware, sof tware, and logistics information. Work individually on CM tasks or projects to ensure project completion, implement or enhance and maintain a CM database to provide streamlined operations and maintenance, and implement declarative state CM via commonly used CM tools to manage and maintain artifact repositories, cloud infrastructure, containers, networking components, servers, and other physical devices, as necessary. Basic Qualifications: 10+ years of experience in sof tware, hardware, and document Configuration and Change Management in support of DoD Te chn ology Development Programs
Experience participating in design reviews, Product Configuration Audits ( PCAs ) , and evaluations of hardware and sof tware products to ensure proper identification, control, and status accounting of the system baselines
Experience chairing or contributing to a change control board ( CCB ) and working requirements through CCB processes, and c ond ucting quality assurance on all change management developed and deliverable products and tracking reports
Experience managing sof tware products through Sof tware Version Control tools such as Git, milestone documentation through tools such as SharePoint, code management, baseline identification and preparation, and control of documents for operational projects Knowledge of information te chn ology CM standards TS/SCI clearance Bachelor's degree Additional Qualifications: Experience with Agile sof tware development Experience with Micro sof t Windows Operating Systems, VMWare, or Linux Servers Possession of excellent verbal and written communication skills Possession of excellent organizational skills Certified Configuration Management Professional or Micro sof t Configuration Manager Certification Clearance: Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information ; TS/SCI clearance is required. Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $75,600.00 to $172,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
