Configuration Management Specialist with Security Clearance

JOB TITLE: CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENTSPECIALIST DEPARTMENT: PROGRAM MANAGEMENT REPORTSTO: DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS CLASSIFICATION: EXEMPT PRIMARY FUNCTION Platform Aerospace isseekinga highly motivated and talented individual to join our team as a Configuration ManagementSpecialist.This positionis responsible forthe planning and execution of UAVconfiguration requirements and deliverables. This role will ensure all UAVconfigurations meet safety standards and operational needs as required by the customer. This includes configuration management planning, identification, control, status accounting and quality control of the scope of work. MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Ensures that the inventory attached to the Platform Aerospace fleet ofaircraftis kept current in all relevant databases. Collaborate with project team and stakeholders to understand configurationrequirements on assigned projects. Review all engineeringdepartmentsdocuments, comparing details to project requirements. Review and analyze initial plans, templates, drawings, and/or software documents to ensure continuity of product design configuration. Collaborate with required members to prepare engineering change proposals. Assistwith implementation ofapproved modifications across fielded inventory whererequired Assistwith developing and implementing records and status systems for assigned projects. Develop and run process for tracking average work hours on scheduled maintenance. Ensure parts numbering and serialization aremaintained, as noted in plans and specifications, by managing the product identification process. Track consumed parts across all Vanilla sites and advise project managers and key stakeholders on usage.Assistwith reorders when needed. Develop and run process for tracking failures of equipment and report metrics. Streamline processes and collaborate as needed to improve efficiency within the company. Gather information,maintaincompliance documents. Analyze data and business processes to promote optimization opportunities, report metrics to Directors and Executive team. BASICREQUIREMENTS 5+ years of related experience Ability to obtain andmaintaina Security Clearance Extreme attention to detail High levelof organization Working knowledge in engineering and/or configuration field (manufacturing environment preferred) Ability to work in a fast-paced, multi-task environment Ability to collaborate with others and work in a team setting Critical thinking/problem solving skills PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degreein STEM related field Ability to concentrate while performing complex tasks for sustained periods Decision making skills Enthusiastic attitude and willingness to learn PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer Must be able tolift upto15pounds at times Ability to traverse manufacturing facility
