Concrete Superintendent - Flatwork

Gpac has partnered with a concrete company currently seeking a highly skilled and experienced Concrete Superintendent specialized in flatwork to join our construction team. As a Concrete Superintendent, you will be responsible for overseeing and managing all aspects of concrete flatwork projects, ensuring they are completed safely, efficiently, and with the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

• Lead and supervise a team of concrete workers, ensuring they are following safety protocols and working efficiently.
• Plan, schedule, and coordinate concrete flatwork projects, including manpower, equipment, and materials required.
• Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure project goals and timelines are met.
• Monitor and enforce compliance with project specifications, building codes, and quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections and quality control checks to ensure workmanship meets or exceeds industry standards.
• Manage and resolve any issues or conflicts that may arise during the construction process.
• Review project plans and specifications, providing input and recommendations as necessary.
• Coordinate with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
• Maintain accurate records, including daily reports, progress updates, and material quantities.
• Conduct regular safety meetings and enforce safety protocols to ensure a safe working environment.

Requirements:

• Minimum of 4 years of experience as a Concrete Superintendent, with a focus on flatwork projects.
• Extensive knowledge of concrete construction techniques, materials, and industry best practices.
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to effectively supervise a team.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Proficient in reading and interpreting project plans, specifications, and blueprints.
• Solid understanding of safety regulations and the ability to enforce them on-site.
• Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with various stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities.
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
• Certification in Concrete Flatwork or similar relevant certifications.
• Experience working with various concrete finishes and decorative concrete techniques.
• Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
