Concrete Laborer - Block Tender AM
$18.00/hour
Hours: 5 am - 5 pm will work from 60-72 hours a week
- Warehouse Concrete Labor
- Inspect concrete blocks. Push blocks along rollers and arrange them to be placed onto pallets.
- Mechanically inclined
- Heavy lifting, loading, and unloading.
- Forklift experience preferred.
- General clean-up around the plant. Shoveling, sweeping, and raking up debris.
- Must have steel toe safety boots.
Position Overview
Your primary responsibility is to perform a wide range of operational duties geared towards the efficient and accurate production of Block products. You must foster teamwork, a positive work environment, and the overall safety of yourself and others.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Must be able to efficiently operate a forklift.
- You must have the ability to stand on your feet for prolonged periods of time.
- Must assist other staff with the general cleanliness of the facility.
- Ability to quickly learn and execute other operational functions as needed.
- Properly follows & promotes all company policies and OSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment.
- Must be able to maintain an acceptable attendance record in a flexible work schedule.
- Must always maintain strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures.
- May perform other related duties as required or directed.
- Must be available to travel and work from other company facilities as needed.
- Must possess a professional attitude while interacting with peers, contractors & public.
Qualifications
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty to the client's guidelines.
Education/Experience
- Two years of related industry experience preferred but not required.
Work Requirements
- Must be willing to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends, and holidays when necessary.
- Must be legally authorized to work in The United States.
- Must demonstrate a strong commitment to Safety.
- Regular and timely attendance is required.
Knowledge/Skill Requirements
- Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in writing.
- Ability to use basic hand tools.
