E5233 APG, Maryland 21010 Job Summary Galapagos Federal Systems LLC is looking for an enthusiastic, well-qualified individual to fill the senior level Computer User Support Specialist at the Chemical Biological Center IT (Information Technology) Mission Support Center (ITMSC). Dive into a dynamic role where you'll cater to over 3,000 users with Tier 2 concierge-style support, Monday through Friday, from 7:00 am to 5:00 pm. As the go-to expert, you'll be the backbone of our team, providing comprehensive assistance via phone, email, and in-person inquiries. Your expertise will span hardware, software, mobile devices, networking (VPN and Citrix), system administration, cyber security, and printer support. Skills / Experience Required Ensure all calls, emails, or walk-in issues received during duty hours are returned to the user via phone call, email, or issue ticket within Service Level Agreements (SLAs) Preferred experience with Citrix, Dameware, Active Directory, Windows 7/10/11, Microsoft Office, iPhone, and remote desktop Proficient in organizational skills, adept at prioritization, and consistently meeting deadlines with precision Skilled in distilling complex technical information into easily understandable concepts for diverse audiences Adept problem-solving skills to tackle various IT challenges effectively Identifies and implements preventive measures to anticipate and mitigate potential IT issues Exhibits clear and articulate verbal and written communication skills, ensuring seamless interaction with colleagues and clients alike Comfortable working in highly visible and important customer locales while being able to consistently deliver high-level professional standards Education / Certifications Associate's degree or equivalent educational background 2-4 years of hands-on experience in an IT/help desk capacity or customer service can be substituted in lieu of education requirements DoD 8570 IAT-I or IAT-II baseline certification required Computing environment certification or certificate of training relevant to job duties and approved by the DEVCOM-CBC Information System Security Manager (ISSM) within 6 months of appointment- Benefits Medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance Flexible Spending Accounts 401(k) PTO Tuition reimbursement Paid federal holidays Security Clearance Must be a U.S. Citizen.
