Computer Network Technologist II & III with Security Clearance

We are pipelining candidates for a future role. Contingent upon Contract Award Valiant is seeking Computer Network Technologist II and III for W-TRS. Potential locations could include: California, Georgia, Idaho, Indiana, Kansas, Louisiana, Michigan, Minnesota, Nebraska, North Carolina, North Dakota, Pennsylvania, South Carolina, Tennessee, Virginia, Washington, Korea, and potential additional CONUS locations. Essential job duties include but are not limited to:
• Maintain industry certification in accordance with DOD 8570.01-M and DODD 8140.01 for AT Level II
• Provide oversight and review of System Admin Associate level work for completeness and correctness
• Assist in the development of junior team members through hands on troubleshooting and review of their work. Responsibilities:
• Perform congenial customer service as needed with clientele, vendors, and peers
• Perform backup administration procedures.
• Perform Active Directory tasks; Is knowledgeable of SIEM tools, repositories, and VMware
• Perform IAVA trend analysis to better understand and mitigate security vulnerabilities.
• Prepare detailed reports for the deliverables of the vulnerability assessment
• Schedule installations and upgrades and maintain them in accordance with established IT policies and procedures.
• Research security testing tools, techniques, and processes
• Integrate and share information with other analysts and other teams.
• Monitor and tune the system to achieve optimum performance levels
• Ensure workstation/server data integrity by evaluating, implementing, and managing appropriate software and hardware solutions
• Optimize workstation/server system operations and resource utilization and performs system capacity analysis and planning.
• Participate in the development and / or promote standard operating procedures.
• Conduct routine hardware and software audits of workstations / servers to ensure compliance with established standards, policies, and configuration guidelines.
• Develop and maintain a comprehensive operating system hardware and software configuration database / library of all supporting documentation; Establish, document, and participate in the enforcement of system administration policies and procedures.
• Prepare and present training materials to Soldiers in a classroom environment
• Prepare AAR products, to include a Take-Home Packet (THP) to the using units if needed
• Must be able to work in a field environment with a flexible work schedule on occasion.
•Based on experience and qualifications applications will be sorted into Computer Network Technologist II and III. Mental/Physical requirements for this role include:
• Ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. and wear appropriate personal protective equipment as appropriate.
• Ability to perform duties in extreme weather conditions (heat, cold, wind and rain) and at height.
• Willing to work a flexible workweek.
• Must have or be able to obtain a valid state driver's license and maintain post driving privileges.
• Must be able to pass a pre-employment drug screening and background investigation.
• This position may require travel to other installations and other WTRS locations throughout CONUS and OCONUS. Basic Qualifications:
• 4-year bachelor's degree in electronics or related technical field. May consider experience in lieu of formal education (military training, technical school, and/or professional experience).
• US citizenship is required. Possess an Active Secret US Government Clearance or ability to obtain a clearance.
