Position Description: The composites manufacturing technician will work as part of the large scale composites manufacturing team, producing fiber-placed, filament wound, and hand laid composites for the purpose of defining the material systems to be used for the SLS program. The work is developmental, and emphasis will be on high quality, well documented processing, and will support pathfinders and testing to produce high fidelity materials properties estimates. Qualifications: The educational requirement is a HS diploma or GED or equivalent with a minimum of 15 years of experience or an AAS degree or equivalent and 10 years of experience with mechanical systems or other hands on work is required. Experience with fiber placement and filament winding machine operation, hand layup composite laminate fabrication, autoclave and large cure oven operations is desired. Aerospace or aeronautical manufacturing experience is preferred. Proof of U.S. Citizenship is required. We are an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
