As JJ Kane Auctions continues a nationwide growth strategy; we are opening a position for a Compliance Specialist. The ideal candidate will provide meaningful impact to the business by helping us remain in compliance with applicable laws, regulations and industry standards. Position will be located in our offices in Birmingham, AL. However, we will consider other Altec locations for remote work, with recurring visits to the Birmingham office.

Should the selected candidate meet the qualifications of a more experienced level in the career path, the job level may be adjusted.
Major Responsibilities:
- Audit regulatory compliance of JJ Kane businesses
- Maintain accurate and organized compliance documentation.
- Prepare and submit reports to regulatory authorities as required.
- Prepare and update communication and training for compliance requirements.
- Develops internal policies, controls and systems to identify, detect and correct non-compliance.
- Assess potential risks related to non-compliance and develop mitigation strategies.
- Investigate and address ethics-related concerns or violations.
- Mentor, coach, and guide team members
- Contribute to continuous improvement efforts.
- Attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Travel up to 25% to multiple JJ Kane locations
- All other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Applicable bachelor's degree and (2) years applicable experience
- Advanced degree counts as one year of experience, not to exceed one year in total
- Knowledge of applicable laws, regulations and industry standards
- Strong Analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite
- Demonstrated record of responsibility
- Customer Service Oriented
- Motivated, goal oriented and persistent
- Maintain Company confidentiality
- Must handle stress and deadlines well
