Complex Directorin Residence Life Office Buffalo State, State University of New York, seeks candidates for the position ofComplex Director in Residence Life Office
There are multiple positions available
The complex director (CD) is a 12 month live in appointment and is a front-line manager/educator of the student population in one or more residence halls
A primary focus ofthe CD is the development of a residential theme area which may include the first-yearexperience upper class housing, or apartment and family college
Responsibilities ofthe CDs include the supervision, training and development of undergraduate studentstaff and graduate assistants; community development; 24-hour crisis intervention;educational and social programming for the residential population; community counciladvisor; facilities management; serves as a conduct officer for student conduct andcommunity standards and special advising assignments
Included among work and oncall responsibilities are emergency and crisis response duties including those that occurafter traditional business hours and on weekends
Summer positions will be assignedsuch as summer hall director, conference director, or roles in other summer projects
Required Qualifications:Masters Degree; previous supervisory responsibility and management ofparaprofessional resident assistant staff; knowledge of communication and counselingskills; ability to communicate effectively within a diverse population of students,faculty and staff; demonstrated experience coordinating judicial conduct hearings;proficiency in Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications:Masters Degree in college student personnel administration, higher education, orcollege counseling and development
Post masters degree experience in residencehall management
Demonstrated experience supervising graduate assistant staff in acollege/ university setting
Demonstrated experience coordinating judicial conducthearings
