About the Role:Job SummaryEnsures the maintenance and compliance of NGHS job classification and compensation programs. Frequently uses independent judgement to provide recommendations to leaders related to compensation initiatives. Supports the daily needs of the department and broader range objectives including data management, survey participation, and job evaluation. Must work cross-functionally with HR Business Partners, Recruiters, HRIS, and Benefits specialist to maintain compensation programs.
Minimum Job QualificationsLicensure or other certifications:
Educational Requirements: Associates degree and minimum of four (4) years experience working in HR or with HR Systems.
Minimum Experience: Previous work experience in compensation or positions that demonstrated good analytical and math skills required.

Preferred Job QualificationsPreferred Licensure or other certifications: HR Certifications.
Preferred Educational Requirements: Bachelors Degree in Human Resources Administration, Business, or related field.
Preferred Experience: Previous Compensation experience.

Essential Tasks and ResponsibilitiesAssists in the administration of compensation programs for all entities with Northeast Georgia Health System.
Maintains HR Compensation inbox addresses critical matters timely.
Day-to-Day management of compensation tasks received through tickets or email. Reassigns tasks to other HR professionals as necessary.
Supports the department with the position control and position validation process.
Completes national and local salary surveys. Uses surveys to analyze market pay rates and make recommendation on appropriate grade level.
Works with Managers and Directors to maintain equity and consistent compensation practices.
Uses quantitative and qualitative methods to complete job evaluation requests including but not limited to, questionnaires, conferring with Managers and employees, and job shadowing. Follows administrative steps to formalize recommendations.
Modifies and creates new job descriptions which accurately reflect current roles, responsibilities, and requirements.
Complete job analysis, documents job specific findings and recommendations.
Keeps abreast of federal, state, and local legal requirements pertaining to Wage and Hour laws. Provides continuous education to leaders and HR Business Partners on law requirements, changes or revisions.
Works in tandem with HR Business Partners on various compensation related projects
Responsible for auditing employee personnel actions for accuracy and completion. Completes data entry of personnel action forms.
Performs ad hoc audits as necessary to ensure proper administration of compensation practices.
Monitors job titling to ensure consistency.
Supports the department in reviewing compensation policies regularly.
Assesses candidate experience to evaluate internal equity and determine appropriate job offers.
Partners with payroll department to resolve pay related problems.
Works with HRIS and Payroll staff to ensure the payroll system meets compensation needs and is updated timely.
Uses FLSA guidelines to evaluate exemption status on new and existing positions.
Participates in compensation budget planning activities, taking into account market conditions and company budgetary constraints.
