The CBFIS Specialist provides families with a broad range of assistance and support with basic needs such as housing, budgeting, housekeeping, and finances. Partner with families and service providers to ensure the safety and well-being of children and to reduce family stressors. Linking families to other community resources to reduce stressors and stabilize the family environment. Assist families with utilizing existing skills, learning new skills and expanding their support network.

QUALIFICATIONS/EDUCATION: The position requires a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work or a related social service field. Previous social work experience is preferred, but not required. Someone in this position must be willing to work flexible hours. The CBFIS Specialist must understand and be committed to the goals and beliefs/principles of Family Preservation and Support Services. The CBFIS Specialist must possess a valid Pennsylvania Driver's License and liability insurance as they will be expected to provide transportation as needed. The individual should possess good judgment skills, good communication skills, and the ability to organize their time to meet consumer needs in a flexible, non-traditional time frame. They must be self-motivated and have the ability to be creative and aggressive in seeking services for consumers.

  • Vision insurance and short-term/long-term disability insurance is offered at NO COST to the employee.
  • $3000 sign-on bonus (50% granted at 6 months of employment, remainder granted at 1 year of employment.)
  • $2500 added remuneration for bilingual ability.
  • Added remuneration per year of experience

Salary starts at $35,000.00 per year.
