Marketing and Development Internship OverviewThe Communications & Outreach Intern at our administrative office, will learn from and be supervised by the Senior Manager of Corporate Partnerships. During the course of the internship, the intern will experience a wide range of functions in areas of communications, marketing strategies, connecting with external and internal stakeholders, creating and executing engagement and event planning. Social media strategies, and community relations will be additional learning opportunities.
Hourly rate: $16.50/hr
Hours per week: 20 hours during a 10-week timeframe
Travel requirement: 50%
Learning Goals consist of understanding and execution on:Community engagement event coordination
Social media management for nonprofits
Spreadsheet creation & content management
Community outreach team calendar management
Content writing for web and blog posts
Qualifications
Ideal interns will demonstrate the following:
Experience with, or able to learn, Adobe SuiteDetail oriented administrative abilities and accurate data entry experienceAbility to develop informational reporting based on raw data requestsProficiency in Windows, MS Word, Excel, PowerPointDiscrete, trustworthy with strong business integrity and ability to maintain a high degree of confidentialityAble to meet time-sensitive timeframes when necessaryAbility to lift 50 lbsMust be willing to travel locally for community engagement activitiesAble to handle multiple tasks simultaneously and adapt to changing prioritiesExcellent filing skills are required, and strong organizational skillsProfessional and customer service-oriented demeanor, comfortable working with all levels of employeesMotivated self-starter who can work independently and in team environmentExcellent business phone etiquetteExcellent editing, spelling, grammar and punctuation skills
