Communications Manager

Remote, contract role till Feb 2025

Duties:

We are hiring a Communications Manager, Editorial to tell the client's story on a day-to-day basis across the globe. You will support and work alongside our Editorial function that produces an always-on drumbeat across consumer, product, policy, and more, to show the world why client is the best way to experience the world.

You must be comfortable working directly with journalists, liaising with agency partners, managing media inquiries and event coordination, gathering stories from within our guest and host community and helping to deliver innovative communications plans, workback schedules, and media lists We're looking for a passionate, articulate and savvy communicator who can work under pressure within tight deadlines.

A typical day:

Provide support for global communications priorities that support key business objectives globally

Ability to develop materials such as story pitches, creative ideas, messaging guidelines, Q&As, briefs, presentations, press releases, blog posts, etc.

Handle incoming media inquiries and evaluate consumer press opportunities

Act as a liaison with agency partners ensuring processes are adhered to

Liaise with regional and global members of the Communications team and with key stakeholders within the business - i.e. in marketing, country managers, campaign teams etc.

Engage with our host & guest community over media opportunities

Support the management of reactive press requests and ensure utilization of all tools available (data, industry research, host stories, etc.) to support community and brand

Coordinate with agencies effectively to deliver outstanding results on behalf of the business

Skilled at media relations and an understanding for what makes a compelling story

Possesses a strong understanding of cultural trends and pop culture and has experience working with industry partners to build effective campaigns that help move the needle

Support relationships with key reporters across North America

Skills:

Bachelor's Degree

Excellent writing and strong verbal communications- and skills

7-8 years PR experience, either working in a PR agency or in-house

You have a passion and the mission of the company and are experienced working on projects in a fast-paced environment.

You are skilled at media relations with excellent and well maintained media contacts and an eye for what makes for a compelling story.

You have the ability to originate, project manage and deliver complex, proactive press projects which could range from research/data-led stories or campaigns through to a press event, press trips, celebrity/influencer engagement etc.

Ability to individually or in partnership with agencies, support the response to briefs, developing comms ideas and campaigns to meet needs of the brief and then executing these campaigns

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

An international outlook and passion for travel

Ability to travel between priority markets and elsewhere, sometimes at short notice
