Commodity Manager II

Job Title: Commodity Manager - SaaS, Software Sourcing

Location: Milpitas, CA (Hybrid)

Industry: Computer Hardware Manufacturing - Data Storage Solutions

Pay Range: $40/hr

Term: 7-Month Contract

Responsibilities:

Strategic Sourcing

Conduct RFP and lead cross-functional teams through supplier selection process

Collaborate with IT/Legal stakeholders to optimize value with supply base

Analyze spend/contract/proposal for software licensing, hardware, servers, data center, and telecom services

Lead negotiations on commercial procurement agreements

Category Management:

Develop and implement category strategies for technology products/services

Cultivate cross-functional stakeholder relationships

Monitor internal/external trends and distill into actionable opportunities

Contract Management

Evaluate and recommend improvements to contract and sourcing processes

Ensure pricing and deliverables as negotiated are included in contracts

Act as liaison between Legal and the business

What's Needed?

Bachelor's degree with 4+ years in indirect strategic SaaS sourcing, emphasizing software and hardware, preferably with a multinational organization

Contract negotiation, vendor management, and influencing skills required

Strong project management, organizational, and analytical skills

Proficient with Microsoft Office applications
