Description: The Commissioning Engineer will interface with our extensive customer base and provide industry-leading processing solutions. The ideal candidate will have strong leadership and interpersonal skills and will bring expertise in equipment commissioning with a commitment to customer focus, quality and innovation. This person will impact the organization by being a recognized leader and proactive problem solver, while showing the enthusiasm for the company. This position will report to the Manager of Automation Engineering. You will be travelling up to 40% of your time to customer sites in the U.S. and Canada for start-up/commissioning. Prepare material for start-up, take-over and commissioning of plants delivered in cooperation with the project manager. Participate in FAT test and IO testing. Optimize and develop membrane filtration processes and process control. Startup membrane filtration equipment independently or as part of a team Train the customer's operators Participate in troubleshooting and development tasks. Prepare commissioning reports and feedback to sales, project and development team. Additional Skills & Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Engineering 3 years of commissioning experience. Experience in process optimization PLC programming skills preferred. Proficiency with FactoryTalk View SE HMI development preferred. Previous experience in the food or dairy industry preferred. Working experience with Microsoft Office required. Good level of troubleshooting capability of processes. electrical and pneumatic systems a plus. Strong, positive oral & written communication skills both internally & with customers required. Willingness to travel up to 40% to customer sites in the U.S. and Canada for start-up/commissioning required.
