We are seeking an experienced and diligent Commercial Superintendent to join our dynamic team. This role is ideal for a highly motivated and skilled individual who has a passion for the construction industry. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing all stages of various construction projects, including schools, parks, and fire stations. This role demands a thorough understanding of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles. The candidate will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:

1. Oversee and manage all phases of construction projects from initial planning to completion, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
2. Coordinate and supervise the activities of subcontractors, ensuring all work is carried out to the required standard.
3. Implement and enforce safety protocols and quality control measures, ensuring all work meets or exceeds the company and regulatory standards.
4. Regularly inspect the construction site to ensure that work is progressing as planned and that all safety regulations are being adhered to.
5. Manage the procurement of materials and equipment, ensuring they are delivered on time and are of the required quality.
6. Coordinate with architects, engineers, and other construction and building specialists.
7. Prepare and submit regular progress reports to stakeholders, highlighting any issues or delays and proposing solutions.
8. Lead and motivate the construction team, fostering a positive work environment that encourages teamwork and high performance.
9. Resolve any problems that may arise, ensuring the construction process runs smoothly and efficiently.

Qualifications:

1. A minimum of 5 years of proven experience as a Commercial Superintendent in the construction industry, specifically in school, park, and fire station construction.
2. Extensive knowledge of construction procedures, materials, and project management principles.
3. Demonstrated experience in subcontractor management, concrete work, quality control, safety, and operations and maintenance (O&M).
4. Strong leadership and team management skills, with the ability to motivate and lead a team.
5. Excellent problem-solving abilities and a proactive approach to overcoming challenges.
6. Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to clearly convey complex information to various stakeholders.
7. A strong commitment to safety, with the ability to enforce strict safety protocols and regulations.
8. A degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
9. Proficiency in relevant software, such as project management software and MS Office.
10. A valid driver's license and the ability to travel as needed.
11. Certification in Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA) training is a plus.
12. Willingness to travel throughout Oregon
