Job Details

We are in search of a dedicated, passionate, and experienced Commercial Litigation Associate to join our dynamic legal team. This is an excellent opportunity for a talented individual to handle a broad range of complex commercial litigation matters. The selected candidate will have the opportunity to work closely with a team of accomplished lawyers and gain exposure to diverse cases, offering a platform for career growth and professional development. This position requires a minimum of 3 years of experience in commercial litigation. This position is able to sit out of our Detroit or Troy, MI or Phoenix, AZ offices.

Responsibilities:

1. Represent clients in all phases of litigation, including court hearings, arbitration, and trials.
2. Conduct legal research and draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents.
3. Advise clients on their legal rights and obligations, and propose strategies for managing legal risks.
4. Develop litigation strategies and negotiate settlements on behalf of clients.
5. Review and analyze complex commercial contracts and other legal documents.
6. Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure effective case management.
7. Stay updated on current legislation and legal developments affecting the industry.
8. Provide legal guidance to junior associates and paralegals, and contribute to team development.

Qualifications:

1. Juris Doctorate from an accredited law school.
2. 3+ years of experience in commercial litigation.
3. Admission to the State Bar and good standing.
4. Proven trial experience and familiarity with all aspects of the litigation process.
5. Exceptional legal writing and research skills.
6. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
7. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines simultaneously.
8. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
9. Proficient in legal research software and Microsoft Office Suite.
10. Demonstrated commitment to professional ethics and client confidentiality.
