Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Litigation Associate with 2-4 years of experience to join our dynamic legal team. The selected candidate will primarily focus on handling business/real estate litigation and creditors' rights matters. This role offers an exciting opportunity for a proactive individual to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced legal environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage a diverse caseload of business/real estate litigation and creditors' rights matters, from inception to resolution.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze case law, and prepare legal memoranda and briefs.
  • Draft and file pleadings, motions, and other court documents.
  • Represent clients in various court proceedings, including hearings, depositions, and mediations.
  • Collaborate with partners, senior associates, and support staff to develop case strategies and ensure efficient case management.
  • Communicate effectively with clients, opposing counsel, and internal stakeholders to provide updates on case progress and address any concerns.
  • Assist with trial preparation, including witness preparation, exhibit organization, and trial strategy development.
  • Stay informed about changes in relevant laws, regulations, and legal trends affecting the practice areas.

Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
  • Admission to the state bar in MD
  • 2-4 years of experience practicing law, with a focus on litigation preferred.
  • Proven experience handling business/real estate litigation and creditors' rights matters.
  • Strong understanding of civil procedure and evidence rules.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and efficiently manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment.
  • Demonstrated attention to detail and strong analytical skills.
  • Proficiency in legal research tools and software.
  • Commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards and maintaining client confidentiality.
