We are actively hiring for a Commercial Insurance Operations Support Associate.


Your Role:

As an Operations Support Associate within our Operations Support team, you will be responsible for providing operational, technical, and administrative and support for our Operations, Billing, Underwriting, Product, and Business Development teams. Your work will include, but is not limited to, undertaking general office administrative support, entering and managing data/information, assisting in servicing client accounts, and other duties assigned by the Senior Director of Commercial Operations. This is an exciting time to join and grow the Operations team as one of our first Operations Support Associates. As part of the development of this role you will work closely with and be mentored and coached by our Operations Support Specialists.


Your work:

  • Complete assigned day-to-day activities and workflows for account servicing and general office administration.

  • Manage and execute a variety of customer and broker service tasks, including but not limited to, policy administration, account activity, billing activity, review audits, certificates of insurance, cancellations/reinstatements, and preparing broker onboarding documents.

  • Assist in the new and renewal business process alongside underwriters, product managers, and business development to ensure all new and renewal policies are bound, issued, and billed accurately and delivered to the client within defined timeframes.

  • Resolve client requests and concerns efficiently and effectively, using individual discretion where necessary, to ensure a superior client outcome in line with our customer experience goals.

  • Escalate customer concerns or inquiries to the appropriate level, when necessary.

  • Maintain a high degree of technical competence and industry/market expertise.

  • Maintain the appropriate tracking of documents, data, and operating procedures.

  • Ensure overall team service excellence.


Required Experience, Education and Skills

  • Some industry experience, ideally in sales, service, or relationship management experience.

  • Associate degree in a related area or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Proven experience in diagnosing and managing customer issues and providing effective solutions.

  • Strong analytical, problem solving, and decision-making skills.

  • Excellent organization, prioritization, and delegation skills.

  • Exceptional customer service skills.

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills; ability to convey information clearly and professionally.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and perform large work volumes while meeting established service standards and deadlines.

  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in handling client and broker transactions and documentation.

  • Ability to perform large work volumes with a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

  • Good technical PC skills; thorough knowledge of all applicable office machinery, basic knowledge of MS Office products.

The national average hourly range for this position is $21.34 -$23.71. However, we have a location-based compensation structure. Our salary ranges vary and are calculated based on county of residence. The full hourly rate range for this position across all the states we hire in is $19.22-$28.47. This role also includes an opportunity for a company-wide annual discretionary bonus, through our Annual Incentive Plan (AIP), of up to 5% of eligible pay.
