We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Commercial Construction Estimator to join our dynamic team. This is a permanent position that offers the opportunity to work on a variety of exciting, high-profile construction projects. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed cost estimates and budgets for our commercial construction projects.

Responsibilities:

• Prepare detailed cost estimates for commercial construction projects, including materials, labor, equipment, and subcontracts.
• Analyze blueprints, specifications, proposals, and other construction documents to prepare time, cost, and labor estimates.
• Use advanced software such as Procore, OST, Heavy Bid, Blue Beam, and Takeoff to prepare estimates and track costs.
• Evaluate subcontractor and supplier quotes to ensure they meet project specifications and budget.
• Participate in proposal preparation and client presentations.
• Work closely with project managers, engineers, and architects to develop a comprehensive understanding of the project scope.
• Regularly communicate with team members and clients to discuss cost estimates and resolve cost discrepancies.
• Conduct risk analysis and identify potential cost overruns.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest construction methods, materials, and trends in the construction industry.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in construction estimating, preferably in commercial construction.
• Proficient in construction estimating software such as Procore, OST, Heavy Bid, Blue Beam, and Takeoff.
• Strong knowledge of construction materials, processes, and equipment.
• Excellent analytical and mathematical skills.
• Ability to read and understand blueprints, schematics, and construction documents.
• Strong negotiation and communication skills.
• Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
• Certified Professional Estimator (CPE) or similar certification will be considered an asset.
