POSITION SUMMARY

Fincantieri Marinette Marine is looking for Senior Navy Combat System experts to fill various positions in support of the Constellation Class Frigate Program in Marinette Wisconsin. We are seeking motivated individuals to provide technical and engineering support for the planning, execution and post event analysis of AEGIS Test and Evaluation (T E) events during the construction, testing and trials events for the FFG program. Duties will include but limited to:

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following.
  • Work closely with Navy AEGIS Test Team (ATT), SSBA, Lockheed Martin SI T and other test organizations to develop and implement plans to meet all FFG milestones for the ships Combat Systems and related equipment.
  • Assist in the development of the ships test plan and drive production and trials milestones on LCS, MMSC and FFG programs as assigned.
  • Assist Engineering when needed with subject matter expert input into the development and design of the C4I/Combat Systems on board FFG.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of test plans to meet EMP/HEMP requirements onboard FFG. Help manage the testing, problem identification, repair and re-test of all topside penetrations in order to meet the Build Specification requirements on LCS, MMSC and FFG.
  • Provide technical support to AEGIS Weapon System (AWS) Interface validation, shipboard integration, waterfront integration tests, analytical services and in-port and at-sea assessments.
  • Provide engineering services in support of tactical and operational interoperability during test and evaluation events aboard AEGIS FFG's.
  • Provide test and evaluation data analysis and training required to support Combat System Interoperability for T E events.
  • Provide technical support to System Engineering efforts and applicable installation support for Contractor Furnished Equipment (CFE) on AEGIS Frigates.
  • Work with internal customers and outside agencies such as NAVAIR, SWIT, IWS 1, Aegis Test Team, BUMED, PEO IWS, NIWC, SSBA, NSWC DD, FAA and PMS-515.
  • Identify, track, communicate, and coordinate problems and deficiencies and develop mitigation strategies as appropriate.
  • Coordinate Test and Trials planning conduct with the shipyard and other stakeholders for each ship.
  • Provide liaison with the Navy test community and Government Contractors performing SOVT's and installations onboard FFG.
  • Supply input for out briefs and communications with internal and external parties
  • Monitors and coordinates completion of all trial cards written against the various hulls are related to Test and Evaluation as directed.
  • Abide by and enforce all organizational policies and procedures.
  • Other duties may be assigned.

This position does not have any direct reports, but will work closely with a variety of employees and levels of positions. Requirements

QUALIFICATIONS

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
  • High School Diploma AS/BS degree in engineering, computer science or other relevant field preferred, but not required.
  • S. Navy certification in Fire Control, Electronics Technician, SONAR Technician Navy Enlisted Codes (NECs) related to ACS, AWS, ACI/Networks Navigation, RADAR, SONAR or other integrated weapon systems preferred.
  • Experience in leading technical teams in troubleshooting and integration testing. Communication skills in briefing at all levels of the organization, and be able to work with and foster a strong team environment.
  • Communication skills required for effective interface with management, ship constructor, vendors, and the customer on complex program and technical aspects and issues.
  • Analytical skills to effectively track, manage, and status multiple technical and construction items and issues.
  • Provide support for HM E and Combat Systems when necessary
  • 4 years in a shipyard-testing program required, 6+ years is preferred, with experience in Test Development, Trouble Reporting, sub contracts management, AEGIS TEST TEAM (ATT) and Navy SOVT teams being a plus.
  • 4 years of experience operating, maintaining, troubleshooting and testing Navy Combat Systems, Weapon Systems, Navigation Systems, Computer Networks and/or Display Systems is required; 6+ years is preferred.

SKILLS:
  • Ability to coordinate production, vendors, and outside agencies for required test and trials activities, both in yard and post-delivery if necessary.
  • Ability to research design and implementation issues, read and translate ship drawings, and communicate implementation approaches and deficiencies.
  • Sound knowledge and experience with USN regulatory body requirements, classification standards, marine engineering practices, specifications and rules for above areas.
  • Ability to perform analysis and studies in-depth, make professional presentations, and keep up with technical advancements in above areas.
  • Must have strong Microsoft Office Suites computer skills. (Knowledge of Visio, AutoCAD and/or Naviswork is a plus.)
  • Must have strong organizational and time management skills.
  • Must have the ability to maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Must have effective written and verbal communication skills.
  • Must have ability to maintain confidentiality.
  • Recent experience working on board US Navy Ships (in port and at sea) desired.
  • Possess excellent written and verbal communications skills.

Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.
