COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST
ABOUT THE COMPANY:

We're seeking an experienced Corporate Collections Specialist who can hit the ground running and has a background in business-to-business collections. If you have a proven track record in corporate collections, identifying billing discrepancies, understanding credit terms, and are passionate about maintaining strong client relationships, we want to talk to you.
OVERVIEW OF THE COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST ROLE:
- Review past-due customer accounts and assess the reasons for delinquency.
- Initiate and conduct outbound collection calls to customers with overdue accounts.
- Identify and resolve issues related to delinquent accounts promptly.
- Collections Specialist determines the necessity of escalated actions such as bond filings or legal proceedings when required.
- Regularly review collection reports and take proactive measures to resolve outstanding issues.
- Demonstrate in-depth knowledge of collections best practices and compliance.
- Collections Specialist utilizes proficient computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel).
- Possess educational training beyond high school level, preferably in finance or a related field.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS FOR THE COLLECTIONS SPECIALIST:
- Proven experience in corporate collections, preferably in a business-to-business context.
- Strong understanding of credit limits and payment terms.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Collections Specialist needs to be highly organized and detail-oriented.
- Ability to work independently and meet collection targets.
- Familiarity with legal processes related to collections is a plus.
- A commitment to maintaining positive client relationships while pursuing collections.
