Adecco is assisting a local Aerospace company in their search for a Collections Specialist in the City of Brea.

The Collections Specialist is responsible for cash collections, internal and external communication to research and resolve outstanding invoices and credits on a portfolio of customer accounts. This individual supports the overall Accounts Receivable function through generation and regular distribution of customer statements, and the upload of invoices to certain customer portals.
This is a 3 month temp position with possible extension
Full time : Monday - Friday
Pay Range : $27.00-$29.00/HR

Duties and Responsibilities:
Manage a portfolio of customer accounts to ensure timely payments and accurate records

Monitor a portfolio of customer accounts for overdue payments and initiate collection efforts

Run and review accounts receivable aging report regularly to identify and address outstanding accounts

Assist and coordinate with other departments regarding customer accounts

Prepare and submit account statements to customers on both a monthly basis and after each payment

Upload invoices and credit notes to customer portals

Pursue missing remittance detail from customers

Respond to customer inquiries regarding their accounts

Verify customer payment deductions and contact to resolve any discrepancies
Analyze accounts receivable data and identify trends

Assist with periodic third-party audits, providing supporting documentation
Respond to ad-hoc requests from CFO and Management in a timely manner

Perform other job-related duties as assigned

Preferred Qualifications and/or Education:
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent experience in a related field
5-7 years of experience working in a similar role
Knowledge of generally accepted accounting principles and general accounting structure, policies and procedures
Knowledge of internal controls and SOX compliance
Proficient PC skills and a working knowledge of ERP and Accounting software systems
Proficient use of MS Office including Excel and Access

Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external agencies to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results
Strong written and verbal English communication skills
Ability to efficiently resolve problems
Ability to accomplish multiple tasks Ability to work independently, with minimal direction
Ability to use discretion and independent judgment when making decisions on behalf of the company

Pay Details: $27.00 to $29.00 per hour
